Covid-19 Advice and Resources for the Scottish Music Sector

Covid-19 Advice for Musicians, Music Businesses and Freelancers

We've gathered an extensive list of sources with the aim of providing support to those working in the Scottish Music industry. This list is not exhaustive and we will update these pages regularly. We welcome suggestions so please get in touch if there is something you would like us to add.

Here you will find links to the current guidance for musicians and music businesses from key music organisations and funders across the UK, as well as general advice on Covid-19 from sources such as the Government and the NHS.

HOW to

This section includes a range of sources with advice on adapting to new ways of working from home - useful for everyone, but particularly handy for self-employed and freelance musicians, and those teaching from home.  Supporting your mental health is crucial in situations like these, and there are links to help you practice daily self-care and to places you can reach out to if you're struggling to cope.

Whether it's donating or signing a petition, there are lots of ways you can continue to support the music sector at this difficult time. You can also show your support and entertain yourself at the same time by joining in with live-streamed concerts, online choirs or taking advantage of content made available online by a range of individuals and organisations.
